The north side of this duplex includes modern custom tiled bathrooms, new living room furniture and each room has been equipped with flat screen TVs. A separate home theater room with a 106-inch movie screen and seating is also located on this level. The first-level bathroom has a full bath and shower. Level two has a washer/dryer nook. The first bedroom is an oceanside suite. The second bedroom has a TV, deck access, and a full bath with a step-in shower. The third bedroom has a main bath with a shower. Since it first opened in 1996, Basnight’s has been the restaurant where all the movers and shakers in the state would eat when they visted the barrier islands. Owned by Outer Banks native and former state Sen. Marc Basnight and his family, the restaurant, located on the Nags Head-Manteo causeway, is busy nearly all year long. But its lineage is not the reason it’s become so popular. Lone Cedar can boast that it serves only fresh local seafood caught by local fishermen, as well as the freshest North Carolina produce available.
Build a beautiful resort village on a favorite Hatteras Island location, and they will come. The Cottages at the Cape are the closest rental units to the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse in Buxton. They share a long border with the national park and are literally steps from the beachfront. Bring the bikes, because Buxton’s unique shops, restaurants, and lighthouse are all very close. Forget the 4WD vehicle - those in the know have discovered that the three jetties to the east of the cottages produce some of the best fishing, surfing, and swimming on this island. Walking to the south will take you to open beaches, the famed Cape Point, and if luck is on your side during the summer, a few sea turtle nests (be careful to stay outside the barriers). Back at your vacation home, you'll be greeted by a townhouse that has been completely renovated, essentially making it brand new. Everything including its floors, furnishings, appliances, and even the very paint used on the walls has been updated. Arnold is a spacious house at milepost 19 in the quiet and relaxing neighborhood of South Creek Acres with views of both the ocean and the canal.At just 350 feet away, guests will enjoy the close proximity to the beach, as well as access to the South Creek Acres community pool and tennis courts (open all year). Two small steps get you into a spacious living room/dining room. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the extras. Relax on the deck off of the kitchen and watch the local birds along the canal. There is also a grass backyard for pets and kids to play. In 2024, the community pool was open from May 11th to September 18th. Opening and closing dates for 2025 will be provided when made available by the HOA.*Please do not park on the grass. This rental property does not include sheets and towels. However, an optional package can be purchased for an additional charge.
