Best Outdoor Dining
In August, 2011 Hurricane Irene arrived at our back door. Our Western Wall, facing the Roanoke Sound, detached from the floor and literally fell into the water. The reconstruction of the dining room recently finished in March '12. Although the interior is now very different, the food & service will always remain Miller's.
Famous for its rustic Outer Banks charm, the restaurant serves a full lunch and dinner menu with the freshest meats and fish available. For the vegetarians, there are pasta and salad choices. Menu offerings include sandwiches, burgers, Southern fried baskets, fish platters, beef, chicken and steak dishes, appetizers and a steam bar. There is also a children’s menu amd gluten-free meals available.
On quiet evenings, you can eat on the covered back deck and watch the sun slowly sink into the sound, turning the water deepening shades of pink and purple. Later, you can stroll from the deck to the gazebo over the sound and enjoy a drink.
A full bar offers specialty drinks and a welcoming spot to sit for a spell with friends. When diners are done eating, they can go out to the lawn facing the sound and savor the view while sitting in Adirondack chairs.

"Wow! Does this place do the business! I was there with my wife for our 25th anniversary. I was there around 6pm on a Tuesday. We were able to be seated within 5 minutes. As busy as they were with large parties, we were treated with great timing with our drinks, appetizer and entrees with no wait. Amazing job to the waitress, server, and kitchen staff! They were all scrambling around like crazy getting everyone great service. The manager also checked on us a few times. I had already been to a few other restaurants on the Outer Banks, but this one was great, especially the service and food! I would recommend this to anyone staying in the area. "Amazing lunch and dinner with a spectacular view. While on a family vacation, my husband and I went on a date for dinner and sat at the bar area on the second floor. The fish tacos were delicious and the view by the water was spectacular. We came back for lunch a few days later with the rest of the family and everything we selected was very tasty, including the crab cake sandwich. The service was friendly and handled our large party very well. We enjoyed both times we ate at the restaurant and look forward to eating there again when we return to Nags Head in May of next year! ~ mcjustice

This year, the Duck Jazz Festival proudly reaches its 16th anniversary, and with it, we unveil our artistic vision:“Duck Grooves: The Sound of Jazz,” is an electrifying celebration of jazz’s dynamic, ever-evolving nature, set against the stunning backdrop of the Currituck Sound. It’s a fusion of past, present, and future, where the timeless traditions of jazz intersect with the vibrancy of new, innovative sounds. Just as the sound of jazz flows and adapts, so too does the landscape of Duck where the rhythm of the music harmonizes with the natural beauty of the water and the surrounding environment.
Corolla, North Carolina is a must see nautical village scented with the spray of the salty sea. It's located on NC Highway 12 along a thin strip of land bordered on the east by the tempestuous Atlantic Ocean, and on the west by the inland waterway of Currituck Sound. Corolla is home to the Currituck Beach Lighthouse, whose beacon first beckoned to sailors at sea in 1875, and to art noveau Whalehead in Historic Corolla, a turn of the century hunt club for sportsmen. The quaint village is also home to one of North Carolina's natural history gems called the Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education. The center, which opened in 2006, is an impressive and marvelous 22,000 square foot interpretive center for young and old alike to explore the history and vast diversity of North Carolina's wildlife.

All bedrooms have private baths, so everyone in your group will have access to an en suite bath during their stay. Spacious common areas include an oceanview open atrium rec room with walls of windows, a two-story open entrance foyer, a spacious kitchen, an additional kitchenette, and four levels of living space. Carolina Breeze is perfect for groups looking for space and comfort. The airy great room features floor-to-ceiling windows that frame endless ocean views, and incorporates a roomy kitchen and multiple dining areas. Entertainment features include a rec room with a pool table (that is open to the great room), a media room for movie nights, and Smart TVs in each bedroom. An elevator provides access to all four levels.Outdoors, enjoy fresh sea breezes on the mid-level sun deck to soak up the sun's rays, or take a refreshing dip in the private pool, with a built-in baby pool, covered poolside bar, outdoor shower, outdoor half bath, and two hot tubs. Or, if you want to relax completely, there are many local companies that will come to your home to prepare an unforgettable meal. A covered deck provides a shady spot to enjoy the sea breezes and the waves rolling in.
