About this Property

  • 6 Bedrooms

You will certainly find more than Somethin' Fishy at this 3,500+ square foot (including two screened porches) Kinnakeet waterfront home. Located on the quiet sound side, Somethin' Fishy is a short jump over the pond to the beach access. If you'd prefer to have fun on the water rather than in it, book a fishing charter and relax as you cast a line and embrace the scenic views.

If the fish aren't biting at the lake, try a refreshing dip in the private 32 x 14 cement pond (pool). The ground level has a carport, fish cleaning table, under-house entry, bath, and two bedrooms (bedroom one with pyramid bunk and bedroom two with a double plus trundle) with kid's TV. The elevator takes tired sportsmen to the huge octagon-shaped bedroom number three with a king bed, adjacent large bath, and covered deck on the second floor adjacent to a furnished recreation room with pool table, smart TV, wet bar, and full fridge. Main king bedroom number four has a private bath and deck access. Main bedroom number five is a suite with a king, private bath, walk-in closet, desk, and access to screened porch with a bubbly hot tub. The third level has a unique octagonal tower room with TV/DVD plus surround sound overlooking a whale of a room with tall ceilings, a half bath, lavish furnishings, and accesses two sundecks. Cook up Somethin' Fishy in this well-equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar, nearby dining table, and screened porch. End your day of fish tales by snoozing in main queen bedroom six with a private bath.

Established in 1948 by Walter and Stelle Gray, Gray’s began as a single store on the beach road in Nags Head, a land mark that has been beautifully transformed into Seagreen Art Gallery. Visitors to the original Gray’s may remember that the family home was located above the store and that Walter Gray had a passion for Big Band music that was often playing on the store speakers, giving shoppers a little swing in their step.

Modern-day Gray’s is still family owned and operated by their children Ronnie and Julie Gray, who carry on a legacy of superior customer service and traditional values. Ronnie’s wife Susan is also an important part of the business. “It really was always a family operating as a business rather than a business being run by a family,” explains Ronnie Gray. “When our visitors come in, they are greeted by a warm hello and a ‘Welcome to Gray’s.’ We try to welcome them as if they’re entering our own home”
