Club Hatteras is available free to all guests who vacation with Hatteras Realty. The Club has the largest swimming pool on the island, along with a 6-hole putting green, a kids’ playground and two regulation tennis courts.
It offers early arrivers a great way to begin their vacation even before check in. While you’re waiting on your rental to be ready, you can be swimming in the pool or lounging and surfing the net poolside. Even after checking out, you can turn in your keys and still enjoy an afternoon at the beach, then a shower and change of clothes at the Club before heading home in much less traffic.
There’s also an on-site concession stand with sandwiches, snow cones, ice cream, snacks, favorite beverages and often-needed supplies.
As an extra attraction, Club Hatteras offers a number of programs and activities mostly at the Avon office, including subjects like coastal cooking and local “history & mystery.“ Watercolor classes and kids activities are available for a very reasonable fee, and other activities, including Aerobics at the pool on Tuesdays and Thursdays, are free.
The Club’s tennis courts, putting green and playground are open year round. The heated Jr. Olympic Pool is open mid-May through mid-October.
