The Backin’ Up is the largest inshore and nearshore vessel departing out of Pirate’s Cove Marina in Manteo. How’s that for some serious bragging rights? Capable of accommodating up to 6 guests, this 46’ Sheldon Midgett boat was completely rebuilt in 2014, and designed with sportfishing in mind. She’s the perfect place to begin your fishing adventure!
Backin’ Up is decked out with a comfortable and fully air-conditioned salon, a bathroom, the very latest in electronics, and a spacious cockpit. if you’re a game fishing fanatic, you’ll be pleased to discover there’s a large Marlin chair, as well as two smaller fighting chairs.
This charter specializes in nearshore fishing the waters of the Outer Banks, meaning that both experienced and brand-new anglers will feel right at home on their adventure. Opt for a shorter trip, and you’ll be targeting species such as Bluefish, Spanish Mackerel, Red Drum, Cobia, and Flounder. They offer the perfect introduction to fishing these waters!
For more experienced anglers, a longer adventure means you can head up to 30 miles offshore, where you’ll cast your line for Tilefish, Seabass, Grouper, Amberjack, Shark, King Mackerel, and trolling species such as Sailfish and Mahi Mahi.
Custom fishing tackle is provided on board, and your captain and crew recommend that you bring plenty of snacks with you, as well as suitable clothing for the weather, polarized sunglasses, and soft-soled shoes. Most importantly, come with a bucket of smiles and an icebox to bring your catch home with you!
