Welcome aboard the Wild Card! Your Captain and Mate are focused on you enjoying your day with us!
Depending on the season and trip you chose, we want to live up to the expectation of the day. We primarily catch bluefish, spanish mackerel, cobia, albacore on our inshore/nearshore trips. Getting further off the beach we find king mackerel, amberjack, mahi, barracuda, with our mid-range trips. Our full day offshore find is fishing for mahi, wahoo, king mackerel, blackfin/yellowfin/bigeye tuna. When it’s available we deep drop bottom fish for black seabass and blueline tile fish. While in the offshore waters there’s always a chance that trophy fish such as sailfish, white and blue marlin may show up in the spread on any given day. Yes it’s exciting!
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!
Your vessel for the day is a 35’ Bertram flybridge with a capacity for 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. This is a USCG Veteran-owned and operated fishing boat. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, along with lures.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. A 20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.
You can’t go wrong when you bring common sense items like bottled water, gatoraid type drinks, soft drinks, hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Hard liquor is not welcome. If you bring beer, please be responsible.
The click of a button is the only thing keeping you from a great day on the water with Wild Card Charters!
