Beautifully updated home w/new kitchen on the 4x4 beach!
Welcome to Paradise at Blue Fin! The new owners of this home are definitely making it their own. New kitchen, updated bathrooms, new paint, new hot tub, new lighting, new furniture and so many other gorgeous updates! The pictures show their attention to every detail. The new kitchen with plenty of cooking equipment will delight even the grumpiest chef! Drinking water is available from the RO faucet on the sink and through the refrigerator filter. The big open floor plan offers fantastic oceanfront views across the entire east side of the house. Level three also offers a queen bedroom with private west facing deck and private entrance to the bath that is also shared with the living room. Plenty of comfortable seating and brand new hot tub on the level three deck make it easy to stargaze or watch the sunrise over the big blue ocean that is just steps away!
On level two you will find five bedrooms and a laundry closet. The bedrooms include a huge king bedroom with interesting circular wall of windows, private bath and south deck access. This level also offers four more bedrooms. A queen room that shares a bath with a twin bunk room (with a twin trundle), both with tv's and private east deck access. The other two bedrooms also share a bath between them and include a queen room with a private west deck and a duo-bunk room. Duo-bunks have a double bottom bunk and a twin top bunk. Entertainment includes smartv's in the living room and four of the five bedrooms as well as a tv and futon/seating on level one. A beautifully lit, private walkway over the oceanfront dune has washing up spigots for a quick rinse on the way home after a sunny, salty day at the beach. Cook dinner on the gas grill for an easy end to a glorious beach day. Two extra refrigerators on level one make it easy to store an entire week's worth of food. No need to head to town since this lovely home has all you need. Welcome to Paradise!

Sunday Check In - 4 wheel drive required - Linens and Towels Provided - Approximately 9.5 miles up the 4x4 beach. Dogs allowed with a per pet fee, 2 pet max, no cats! New hot tub. New pool. Parking at the house is free and unlimited. Guests will use the two season passes that belong to the house for parking on the beach. No graduation groups or events of any kind are allowed in our homes.

The Outer Banks only authentic oyster bar is the place to enjoy sensational fare from the sea washed down with your favorite brew or cocktail. We serve by the peck, pound, and dozen, raw or steamed to perfection. Kicked back casual, down to earth friendly staff, and reasonable prices make Awful Arthur’s Oyster Bar the all-time favorite of locals and travelers alike.

The idea wasn’t to set out and establish a new concept restaurant on the Outer Banks, but that’s exactly what Awful Arthur’s owner Jo Whitehead and her late husband, Jay, accomplished more than 35 years ago when they opened the area’s first authentic oyster bar.

 

Awful Arthur’s opened in May 1984 on the Outer Banks. “We embraced the concept of an authentic copper top bar with the idea of it being a major drawing card and it still is,” explains Whitehead. “I get oysters wherever they are local. We follow the warm waters.” 

 

Just across from the ocean, in Kill Devil Hills, oyster season is year-round at Awful Arthur’s. Diners can take a seat at the copper-topped bar to observe the staff shucking oysters, served raw or steamed, along with shrimp, crab legs and clams all steamed to perfection. 

 

It’s not just the raw bar that’s earned Awful Arthur’s both local and national recognition, including being named one of America’s greatest oyster bars by Coastal Living magazine. The restaurant is a seafood-lover’s paradise, offering the freshest catches available.
