This home is located in a quiet community, with wide sidewalks along the road great for biking and walking. Only 600 feet from beach access, this home offers a great location for your next Outer Banks vacation! There is WiFi and cable in all bedrooms.

This home offers a screened porch with ample seating and porch swing, great for getting out of the hot sun, while still feeling the breeze from the ocean. Also great for drinking your morning coffee and eating some breakfast, or any meal of the day! This home is complete with a nice sundeck, providing a convenient place to soak up some sun while catching up on some reading. Also providing an amazing view of gorgeous ocean sunrises! Covered parking is available to keep your vehicle cool on those hot summer days, and an outside shower is there to keep you cool after a long day at the beach! A grill is available, perfect for those family beach barbecues. While dinner is cooking, enjoy a friendly game of corn hole.

Located at milepost 20.5 in the charming area of South Nags Head, this home is in a wonderful location, not far from great shopping, delightful dining, and fun-filled, family-friendly attractions, without being in the heart of all the traffic. Located a few miles down the road at milepost 16, is the Nags Head Outlets. From fashion, to kitchenware, to flip flops, they have something for everyone!

Head back towards the beach road, and be sure to visit Jennette’s Pier at milepost 16.5. A great place to go for a leisurely walk out over the ocean and a great surf spot! Bring your fishing gear along, Jennette’s Pier offers a great place for locals and vacationers to catch some dinner! And whatever you do catch, you can bring back to the house, clean it, and throw it on the grill for the freshest and most delicious home-cooked seafood! And for those nights you just want to go out and eat, try The Dunes restaurant for some amazing food.

Also on the main highway, there are several places to ride go-karts, bumper boats, play mini-golf, or go out in the sound on a jet-ski, and book a parasailing trip! All a must-do while on your vacation! This home provides a great location, right near beach access, with convenient access to everything you’ll need while on vacation!

Awful Arthur's Oyster Bar

Welcome to the home of the happy oyster where for over 40 years the oyster has been our world. The Outer Banks only authentic oyster bar is the place to enjoy sensational fare from the sea washed down with your favorite brew or cocktail. We serve by the peck, pound, and dozen, raw or steamed to perfection. Kicked back casual, down to earth friendly staff, and reasonable prices make Awful Arthur’s Oyster Bar the all-time favorite of locals and travelers alike.

The idea wasn’t to set out and establish a new concept restaurant on the Outer Banks, but that’s exactly what Awful Arthur’s owner Jo Whitehead and her late husband, Jay, accomplished more than 35 years ago when they opened the area’s first authentic oyster bar.

 

Awful Arthur’s opened in May 1984 on the Outer Banks. “We embraced the concept of an authentic copper top bar with the idea of it being a major drawing card and it still is,” explains Whitehead. “I get oysters wherever they are local. We follow the warm waters.” 

 

Just across from the ocean, in Kill Devil Hills, oyster season is year-round at Awful Arthur’s. Diners can take a seat at the copper-topped bar to observe the staff shucking oysters, served raw or steamed, along with shrimp, crab legs and clams all steamed to perfection. 

 

It’s not just the raw bar that’s earned Awful Arthur’s both local and national recognition, including being named one of America’s greatest oyster bars by Coastal Living magazine. The restaurant is a seafood-lover’s paradise, offering the freshest catches available.
