Rise and shine with a quiet breakfast on the screened porch followed by a walk along the Currituck Sound. Maybe ride bikes to the Corolla Light shops and pick up some delicious coffee and donuts/breakfast pastries. Or head over to the nearby Sports Center for your morning gym workout. Then hop the trolley, just steps from the house, for a day of sand, sun and seashells. And if beach isn't your thing, take a dip in the private, gated pool and relax on a chaise lounge. After a full day at the beach, retreat home to enjoy fabulous OBX sunsets! How about an evening under the stars soaking in the 30-jet HOT TUB (big enough for 7 adults) on the deck? Ground Level: Has a new queen sofa bed, remodeled half bath, a new smart TV and DVD. Rounding out this level are double outside showers, a fish cleaning station, the pool, a charcoal grill and a picnic table for Sound-front dining.

Mid Level: Has 2 King bedrooms with TVs and renovated private baths (one bath with whirlpool tub and one with a giant shower), a bedroom with 2 Bunk Sets, a bedroom with 2 Singles, a renovated full bath with tub for cleaning those little ones, and a roomy laundry room with large-capacity washer/dryer. The west deck is accessible from the primary bedrooms and has plenty of deck seating for sipping your favorite beverage.

Top Level: Features cathedral ceilings, a wood-burning fireplace, beautiful new wood floors, large Samsung Smart TV with DVD collection, recently reupholstered furnishings, a large kitchen with pantry and eating island, dining and living rooms and a half bath. The King main bedroom suite with TV and private bath is just off the great room. And outside is the hot tub, four Plywood Adirondack chairs and table (perfect for afternoon appetizers) and a screened porch with counter height table and stools.

Amenities: Private Pool (unheated), Hot Tub, wood-burning fireplace, WiFi with Deco Mesh system for strong signal, 5 Smart TVs, 4 DVDs, Video/Book Library, Games and Puzzles, Whirlpool Bath Tub, Screened Porch, Double Outside Showers, Fishing Cleaning Station. Pets Permitted (Max of 2 Dogs - No Cats Please). The HOA offers trolley service from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Private Pool Dates: The private pool is open May 1st through October 15th. The private pool is unavailable outside of these dates but the Hot Tub is available all year long.

It was 1978 when Eddie and Lou Miller first opened Miller’s Seafood and Steakhouse. As a teenager, their son Brian spent his summers working in the restaurant, getting familiar with the family business. After college, Brian and his wife Beth came back to Kill Devil Hills and began working together at Miller’s. Brian and Beth officially purchased the restaurant from Eddie and Lou in 2007. A few years later they opened American Pie together, and both restaurants now carry on the Miller family tradition of quality, excellence and hospitality.

 

“I learned everything about the restaurant business from my parents,” Miller says. “They ran the business together for all those years, and now my wife and I are doing the same. “Throughout the summer, we’re feeding around 2,000 people a day in our two restaurants. It’s a challenge we embrace every season, and we get a lot of fulfillment from making it all work.”

 

The Millers focus on two main specialties: high quality foods and unparalleled service. Seafood at Miller’s is fresh and locally caught, and they serve high-quality Angus beef, fresh pastas and homemade desserts. At American Pie, guests enjoy hand-tossed pizzas and homemade ice cream.

 

“We put a lot of time and effort into ensuring the products we bring in are top-notch,” Miller says. “Our customers know that when they visit our restaurants, they’ll be getting the quality and consistency they’ve come to know and love.”
