The ground level boasts a lively recreation room equipped for fun and gamesmanship. Enjoy a pool table, pub table, TV, and a kitchenette with a sink and a refrigerator (icemaker in freezer). Sleeping options include a special access queen bedroom with a flatscreen TV and a private bathroom with a barrier-free shower. A cheerful bedroom with two twin beds and a flatscreen TV shares a full bathroom with a bedroom equipped with a pyramid bunk and TV. Two laundry closets, each with one washer and dryer unit, are located on this level.

Rec room doors open to the outdoor amenities, which promise hours of al fresco entertainment. A fenced sparkling saltwater pool is the focal point for recreation. If you need a respite from the sun, gather at the poolside tiki bar to enjoy an ice-cold beverage, and the gas grill and sheltered picnic area allow for casual outdoor meals. A 70' private walkway leads to the sandy shore and rolling surf for beach adventures, or perch on the dune-top sheltered gazebo to overlook beach activities. End each day in a cinema-style home theater with tiered seating for six, surround sound, a Bluray player, and a 75" flatscreen TV. This is the perfect place to wind down to your favorite Hollywood flick with buttered popcorn and a beverage. The rear oceanfront covered deck has a soothing hot tub to enjoy coastal breezes and peaceful views.

An expansive great room with hardwood floors, lofty ceilings, and a stunning backdrop of ocean views greets guests in the second floor great room. A plush wraparound leather sofa and armchairs create a welcoming conversation area around a seasonal gas fireplace and a 55'' Roku TV with a Bluray player. Doors open to a sun deck to savor expansive ocean views. Steps lead from the great room to a lofted sitting room furnished with a sleepsofa, armchair seating, and a TV. Here, you can enjoy quiet conversations, an uninterrupted TV show, or step onto the private balcony that overlooks the beautiful Atlantic. A large dining table is located next to the well-equipped kitchen. Chefs are treated to two side-by-side stainless refrigerators, a six-burner gas range, double ovens, a microwave, two dishwashers, Keurig, a regular coffee maker, and a center island with bar seating. The top floor offers two suites with private bathrooms. One is oceanfront and is furnished with a king bed, flatscreen TV, direct sun deck access, and a Jacuzzi tub. The second has a queen size bed, flatscreen TV, and its own balcony. A half bathroom and private office complete this home's amenities.

Community note: Duck Landing offers several community amenities including a community beach access, a tennis court, a pickleball court, an indoor heated pool, an indoor heated kiddie pool, a fitness center, a playground, and a clubhouse with a video game room, pool table, foosball, and ping-pong. All of these amenities are located on the east end of the subdivision where there is limited nearby parking (parking pass required and provided). RVs, boats, and trailers are not permitted in this subdivision (unless they fit completely under carport). Golf carts are allowed. The Town of Duck has beach equipment policies to help keep visits to the shore enjoyable and safe.

Updates for 2024: New refrigerator (icemaker in freezer) in the rec room, new speakers and 55'' Roku TV in the great room, entrance foyer retiled, and three bedroom TVs were re-mounted at a lower height.

Updates for 2023: Two new hot tubs have been installed, new sofas have been added to the theater, all new bedding, new artwork throughout, and some new outdoor furniture for the pool area and decks, the ground level rec room sofa replaced with a pub table and chairs.

Second Tier Oceanfront: These properties are staggered and set farther back on the oceanfront, although they have private walkways to the beach. Please note the view photo and call our office if additional questions arise.

Pool: Saltwater pool heated by heat pump. Ambient air temperature of 60 degrees or higher is needed to heat the pool, meaning that if the temperature drops below 60 degrees the pump will not continue to heat. Max. pool temperature is 80 degrees.

Special Access Amenities Available: This home provides an elevator, and the queen bedroom has a special access bath. Please note that none of our homes are ADA compliant. Contact our office with additional questions.

It was 1978 when Eddie and Lou Miller first opened Miller’s Seafood and Steakhouse. As a teenager, their son Brian spent his summers working in the restaurant, getting familiar with the family business. After college, Brian and his wife Beth came back to Kill Devil Hills and began working together at Miller’s. Brian and Beth officially purchased the restaurant from Eddie and Lou in 2007. A few years later they opened American Pie together, and both restaurants now carry on the Miller family tradition of quality, excellence and hospitality.

 

“I learned everything about the restaurant business from my parents,” Miller says. “They ran the business together for all those years, and now my wife and I are doing the same. “Throughout the summer, we’re feeding around 2,000 people a day in our two restaurants. It’s a challenge we embrace every season, and we get a lot of fulfillment from making it all work.”

 

The Millers focus on two main specialties: high quality foods and unparalleled service. Seafood at Miller’s is fresh and locally caught, and they serve high-quality Angus beef, fresh pastas and homemade desserts. At American Pie, guests enjoy hand-tossed pizzas and homemade ice cream.

 

“We put a lot of time and effort into ensuring the products we bring in are top-notch,” Miller says. “Our customers know that when they visit our restaurants, they’ll be getting the quality and consistency they’ve come to know and love.”
