Hatteras has a fish with your name on it, so let Albatross Fleet help you catch it!
There’s no guarantee when you’re fishing, but just some of the species you can catch around here include Amberjack, Blackfin Tuna, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Snowy Grouper, Tilefish, Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Sailfish, Yellowfin Tuna, King Mackerel (Kingfish), and more, depending on when you go.
Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself light tackle fishing, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Bryan can also have you kite fishing.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Don’t forget to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
Capt. Bryan operates a 46’ custom-built Sportfishing boat made specifically for fishing the Hatteras waters. The boat holds up to 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. What’s more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible.
Your captain will provide rods and reels. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. It’s customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.
It’s never a bad idea to bring bottled water, sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now, time to hit the water with Albatross Fleet!
