Amberjack, Bluefish, Cobia, Flounder, Redfish, Black Seabass, Blacktip Shark, Spanish Mackerel, Speckled Trout, Whiting, and more are in the cards, depending on the season. During the trip, you might be spinning, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Capt. Keith welcomes anglers of all ages, including kids, so get ‘em offline and onto the water! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!
Your fishing machine for the day is a eith Capt.Corey is a 35’ Jarret Bay sportfishing vessel that can carry up to 6 passengers. It has outriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary. There’s no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
Some essentials to bring are a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Outer Banks Charter Fishing Adventures will make it easy for you to go fishing in Wanchese. So, how about booking that trip?
