Book your next trip with Sea Note Charters and find out what makes the fishing in Nags Head so unique. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Benjie can tell you all about the local fishery.
Bluefin Tuna, Blue Marlin, Striped Bass, Redfish, Atlantic Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, Black Drum, Blacktip Shark, False Albacore, Cero Mackerel, Cobia, and more are in the cards if conditions are right.
Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself light tackle fishing, popping, trolling, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Benjie can also show you kite fishing.
Sea Note Charters welcomes kids aboard, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Don’t forget to bring snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
Your trip begins aboard a 54’ Sportfishing with space for 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. What’s more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible.
Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it’s customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
Some essentials to bring are sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and sunglasses. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
And that’s it! Your fishing trip with Sea Note Charters is just a click away.
