The interior is furnished with modern Scandinavian decor - you will feel at home from the moment you walk through the door. This 7-bedroom soundfront retreat offers some of the best sunset viewing on the entire Outer Banks. A prime soundfront location situated at the end of a cul-de-sac, with a private walkway that leads out into the Currituck Sound are only a few of the attractive features that you will enjoy during your vacation. To take it a step further, we should mention that the soundfront location means you will have uninterrupted views of the sun setting each evening, being located at the end of a cul-de-sac means there is complete privacy to the south that is undeveloped land, and the private walkway out into the sound includes a gazebo with built-in benches, and a launch that makes it easier than ever to access the sound with your watercraft of choice (bring your own or rent watersport equipment). The fully fenced pool area offers a 24'x12' private pool, poolside lounge chairs, and covered deck space perfect for those who are wanting to stay out of the sun but still be outside for the fun.
Located only a short distance from The Whalehead Club, the Currituck Beach Lighthouse, and some of the best restaurants, stores, and attractions that Corolla has to offer. The nearest walkable beach access is about a half mile east and easily accessible from a sidewalk and boardwalk that take you to the Herring Beach Access. The owner offers a wagon thar makes transporting your beach gear to and from the ocean's side a breeze! The nearest drivable beach access is the Bonito Street Public Beach Access that offers a public parking lot nearby and is just over a mile south. See photos in gallery of beach accesses.

The ground floor offers two bedrooms, each with king beds and their own private bathroom with custom tiled showers. A rec room with a kitchenette rounds out this level with a foosball table, an arcade game, a cocktail table, and a TV. The kitchenette is equipped with a refrigerator, a sink, and a dishwasher.
Sliding glass doors lead you to a covered deck that looks out onto the pool area. The outdoor entertainment and relaxation options are abundant at Hygge on the Bay! Take a dip in the pool, lounge poolside while soaking up some sun, grill up a delicious meal for the group on the gas grill, toss some cornhole bags with a few others, turn on your favorite tunes to play through the outdoor speakers, or grab a book from the "little library" out front and take a stroll out to the sound via the private walkway to the soundside gazebo that has built-in benches.

The middle floor of Hygge on the Bay is home to four suites, each with their own private bathroom. Three of the bedrooms are furnished with king beds, one offers two twin bunks. Two of the king bedrooms, and the twin bunk bedroom have sliding door access to the covered decks on this level. Laundry facilities can be found at the end of the hallway.

The top floor boasts an open concept floor plan and is draped in natural light. The great room, kitchen, and dining area all share one large open space, making it the perfect spot for your entire group to spend time together each day. A sliding glass door in the dining area leads out onto the deck that overlooks the Currituck Sound. The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel GE appliances, including a refrigerator, two dishwashers, a glass top range, an oven, and a microwave. Coffee lovers in the group will find a Keurig and a standard drip coffee maker in the kitchen. Bedding on this level is a king suite that has a walk-in closet, a private bath with a custom tiled shower, and a double vanity. There is also a sliding door that goes out to the deck that can also be accessed from the great room.
