Charm and grace welcomes you, and your family to this lovely vacation property. Three King Master Bedrooms offer privacy for adults and there is plenty offered for the younger set too! On the ground level the recreation room has a full-size pool table, and kitchenette with full-size refrigerator and microwave. LCD TV’s are found throughout the property.

Kids of all ages will enjoy the private pool with hot tub on the side, or take a turn on the putting green to get ready for an afternoon on the course. Gather everyone together to play volleyball, and the little ones will love the play set in the side yard. Any family member can get in the game with cornhole or horseshoes in the yard. The poolside half bath is convenient for everyone enjoying the outside activities. The community amenities for Ocean Crest are also available for your pleasure including tennis, and community pool. As if all this isn’t enough, ‘Five Lucky Ducks” is located close to Duck Village. Bring the bikes and explore Duck Village with all the shops, restaurants, watersports and sight-seeing. Spend your evenings on the waterfront watching the sunset, and mornings watching the sunrise on the beach just steps from the property.

Private Pools are open from May 3, 2024 until October 13, 2024 and May 2, 2025 until October 12, 2025. Pool heat is not an option for this property. Pets are not allowed in pools under any circumstances. An additional fee will be charged to leaseholder for the chemical balance, cleaning or damage that would cause the replacement of a vinyl pool liner. Hot tubs are available year-round. Gas fireplaces are shut down from May 15 until September 15. This property provides a $250 credit toward beach gear delivered to your rental property. *Delivery fees may apply.* Offer only good for full weeks booked with check-ins beginning between May 23, 2025 and August 31, 2025.


All Outer Banks Blue properties provide bed linens and bath towels for a small fee added to every reservation. We provide 1 bath towel and washcloth per advertised occupant. We provide 1 hand towel and 1 bar of soap per bathroom sink. We also provide kitchen towels. Beds are made prior to your arrival, and we provide a starter supply of toilet paper, bathroom soap, paper towels, and dishwasher detergent.

Most know The Cotton Gin as a must-stop shop for fine gifts, beachwear, souvenirs and so much more, but this retailer has a long-standing history within the Outer Banks. A local landmark that holds almost a century of memories, The Cotton Gin started from humble beginnings and continues to adapt to the times and tourists. Tommy Wright’s family has been in the Outer Banks for nearly 200 years. His great-great grandfather, Jacob Francis Wright, shipwrecked in Duck back in the early 1800s. Calling these barrier islands his new home, Wright and his family acclimated to their new environment.

 

Adaptation is a common theme for the Wright family. Tommy and his wife Candace, who continue to steer The Cotton Gin, have seen not only their business change with the times, but the Outer Banks as a vacation destination as well. A farm market in Jarvisburg eventually transformed and flourished into several retail locations dotting the Outer Banks.

 

“As the area changed and tourism took off in the 1960s, the family saw people coming for vacations, so they began to grow vegetables and things developed from there,” says Tommy Wright. The Wright family expanded upon the farm market and began to remodel a working cotton gin, later transforming the gin into The Cotton Gin general store in the late 1960s. While the additions to the farm store drew visitors, it was their encounters with the Wright family that kept people coming back year after year, which is something that remains true today.
