• Friday, July 4th

Head to the heart of Nags head for this special 4th of July fireworks display over the Atlantic Ocean that will leave all beach-goers breathless. The Town Of Nags Head Fireworks Spectacular will be held on the evening of Independence Day, and is sure to be a show-stopping aspect of any Outer Banks vacation.

The fireworks will be launched off of the ocean pier at milepost 11.5 on S. Virginia Dare Trail, and visitors all along the local town beaches will be able to have fine views of the stunning display over the ocean waves. Parking at or near the fireworks display site will be directed by the local Nags Head police department, and folks who want to drive to the show are encouraged to park west of the Beach Bypass in order to avoid crossing the major highway. Visitors are welcome to bring along chairs, beach towels, and other beach chairs to the shoreline, but are advised to stay off the dunes and to respect private property – like rental homes and privately owned gazebos – that may be adjacent to the beach. With a gorgeous display that starts at 9:25 p.m., this Atlantic Ocean show is sure to wow patriotic OBX visitors of all ages.
