Jockey’s Ridge Crossing will be hosting the Annual Sunset Festival this year running from June 10th to August 9th. The nightly Sunset Festival takes place from Monday through Friday at Jockey’s Ridge, and features a spectacular front row seat to one of the best sunset-watching vantage points along the North Carolina coastline. After taking in the magical outdoor display, attendees can wander over to the Kitty Hawk Kites flagship store to indulge in ice cream and beach fare, enjoy crafty activities like hair wraps and sand art projects, pick up a kite to fly along the sand dunes, or just relax and explore everything this beloved landmark has to offer. Tuesdays offer a great way to unwind with the musical stylings of Kim Kalman. With lots of ways to enjoy the scene, the Sunset Festival and Tuesday Tunes is a fun summer event that can’t be missed.

Magic Mondays:

Chris Kram (The Impossible Chris) will be performing INTERACTIVE magic for all to enjoy from 7-sunset. He is a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians. Kram brings visual entertainment to life through his alluring tricks and captivating props. His performance is sure to leave you in wonder. Magic will be held in the courtyard in front of Kitty Hawk Kites in Nags Head. Finish the night off watching the beautiful sunset while enjoying a delicious treat from Jockey’s Ridge Creamery or The Fudgery!

Tournament Tuesday:

What a great idea to start your week but to pick up a family game like Spikeball and Bulzi Bucket and try them out at Kitty Hawk Kites with your friends and family. While you are there, you can shop from a variety of stores and Jockey’s Ridge Crossing to buy some awesome souvenirs and gifts! Events take place from 7-sunset.


‘What’s Spinning?’ Wednesday:

Come by and listen to the on site DJ playing an array of music for all ages! Make sure to stop by Abbi’s Teas and things/Sudden Light Records for highlighted records.


Ukulele Thursday:

Learn how to play Ukulele, grab your own and strum along every Thursday night from 7-sunset.

Owned by Garry Oliver, the proprietor of the Outer Banks Fishing Pier, this small wooden aqua blue-colored store on the Nags Head-Manteo causeway has been serving the needs of fishermen for decades. A full line of tackle is available for all types of fishing --- surf, pier, inshore and offshore --- with fishing rods stored on the ceiling as well as along the walls.  The store is an authorized dealer for major tackle brands, including Fish Bites, Daiwa and Gulp, and has a large selection of fresh, frozen and live bait.  In addition, it stocks crabbing supplies, and sells sunglasses, jackets, hoodies, T-shirts and hats. The store also rents outboard and pontoon boats for sound fishing, and is an authorized outlet to purchase state-required recreational fishing licenses. We also offer Dolphin Watching Tours!
