This year, the Duck Jazz Festival proudly reaches its 16th anniversary, and with it, we unveil our artistic vision:“Duck Grooves: The Sound of Jazz,” is an electrifying celebration of jazz’s dynamic, ever-evolving nature, set against the stunning backdrop of the Currituck Sound. It’s a fusion of past, present, and future, where the timeless traditions of jazz intersect with the vibrancy of new, innovative sounds. Just as the sound of jazz flows and adapts, so too does the landscape of Duck where the rhythm of the music harmonizes with the natural beauty of the water and the surrounding environment.
Many beachgoers enjoy the simplicity of soaking up the sun, sipping a beverage or reading a book. Sometimes we prefer a little friendly competition or just some play time in the surf. And of course, kids are always in motion on the sand. Here are some of the games and toys we love.
Just a short walk to the beach, this semi-oceanfront home features great ocean views, with Adirondack seating for watching daily sunrises with your morning coffee over the water!The top level boasts vaulted ceilings and plenty of natural light, as well as a comfortable living area with cozy seating, a dining area for 8, and a gorgeous newly-updated kitchen with stainless steel appliances and countertop seating for 4. Step out on to the sun deck with a cool drink to take in the ocean breezes! A full bath and a spacious king bedroom can also be found on the top level. Head downstairs to the recreation room, featuring a pool table and bar seating. A sliding door off the rec room leads to a bubbling hot tub, perfect for relaxing after a long day at the beach. Three more bedrooms can be found on the mid level, including a king en suite with a private bath, a king bedroom, and a bedroom with 2 bunk beds. A full hall bath with a shower and a Jacuzzi tub and a covered deck with seating and a hammock round out the mid level of Morning Star. A roomy private grill area has a picnic table for enjoying family meals by the 14'x33' pool. Don't forget to bring your furry family member because this home is pet-friendly. Pool heat is available for an additional $400 fee.Sheets and towels are provided with beds made.Updates for 2024 include: Complete kitchen renovation with new appliances and new Keurig, new lighting, new fireplace, all new furniture, new flooring, new bathroom vanity/mirror/toilet, fresh paint, new pool table, new decking, polywood outdoor furniture, new and expanded white vinyl pool fence, new picnic/grill area with new grill, and more. Layout:Mid Level: Main entrance, king en suite with private bath, king bedroom, bedroom with 2 sets of bunk beds, full bath with Jacuzzi, laundry room, rec room. The hot tub is located on the mid level deck.Top Level: Kitchen, dining area, living area with gas fireplace (off-season) and great ocean views, king bedroom, full bath.
