What if ending hunger could be as simple as raising a glass? Raise Your Spirits OBX! The Beach Food Pantry of the Outer Banks invites residents and visitors alike to help end hunger in Dare County, N.C. by doing just that with the Inaugural Outer Banks Rum Festival on Saturday, June 11, 2022, from 3-8 PM at the Pavilion at Pirate’s Cove Marina (2000 Sailfish Drive) in Manteo, N.C.
The first ever Outer Banks Rum Festival offers festival goers the chance to delight in 17 different tasty rums from around the world - all in one place -including local favorite Kill Devil Rum, The Real McCoy, Mount Gay, Zaya, Ron Izalco, and many more.
The festival also includes a palate pleasing selection of food from 10 local Outer Banks restaurants, marketplace of local vendors, music from One Love Steel Drum Band and master bartenders slinging signature rum cocktails in the main Pavilion bar throughout the event.
The Outer Banks Rum Festival is a ticketed event, for those 21 years and older. There are general admission and VIP tickets now available.

The Outer Banks Rum Festival is for everyone 21 yrs+ - rum drinkers, rum aficionados, rum lovers and those completely new to the spirit!
Do you usually sip other spirits? We encourage you come as well! With an open mind, you’ll be sure to find at least one rum expression here that speaks to you.
This event will please the palate with a selection of rums - many of which are currently only available for special order!
There will also be plenty of opportunities to learn about rum – in general, as well as from participating brands, specifically.
In addition, there will be delicious food provided by participating restaurants, live music and curated vendors. You won't want to miss this event! Do good while having fun!
June 11 - Spirits Industry Session | 3-4:30pm

The Spirit Industry Session allows individuals that work in the trade – restaurant owners, bar managers, retailers of beer/spirits, beverage media, etc - to attend the event for 1.5 hours (3:00-4:30 pm). You will also have access to seminars that are open to the public. Food is included. This session is only for industry insiders, so you MUST note your affiliation to the trade in the company field of the ticket registration form. Credentials will be requested.
June 11 - VIP Tasting Session | 3-8:00pm
$100 + sales tax (added during checkout)

The VIP Tasting Session allows you to attend the event for 4.5 hours, including time for in-depth conversations with distillers and brand ambassadors, as well as possible additional expressions. You’ll also receive access to the VIP Lounge, an exclusive tasting glass, two drink tickets for cocktails, and access to seminars that are open to the public (space may be limited – registration will be requested). Food is included.

The General Admission Tasting Session allows you to attend the event for 3 hours. You’ll also receive a tasting glass and access to seminars that are open to the public (space may be limited – registration will be requested).
*** If not sold out in advance, tickets purchased on-site on the day of the event will each incur an additional $25 fee. We strongly encourage you to purchase your tickets in advance! Food may be included. For the best food and rum selections, a VIP ticket is recommended.

Are you the one that makes sure your friends and family make it home safely to tell the tales? If so, this pass if for you, with our gratitude. No drinking will be allowed at the event. No sampling glass will be given. Food and soft drinks will be provided.
Note: if you start as a DD, then decide you want to be part of the action after all, you will be able to upgrade your ticket on-site to a VIP or General Admission status and then you can partake. However, if a designated driver is seen tasting or drinking, he or she will be escorted off the premises immediately and no opportunity to upgrade will be permitted at that time.
This event is limited to those 21 years and up. We expect everyone to drink responsibly and understand that this is an upscale tasting event. Etiquette guidelines will be provided for the information and safety of guests.
COVID protocols may mean that there are necessary changes made to the event, possibly even at the last-minute. We are following the guidance closely and will communicate important updates to the registered attendees.
As this is a fundraising event to support a nonprofit, no refunds will be given. Thank you in advance for understanding!
