We are the sole authorized seller of Corolla Fire & Rescue Squad tee shirts and memorabilia.
Corolla Fire & Rescue Squad was established July 1, 1983 as a non-profit volunteer organization funded by Currituck County and the generous donations from our many supporters. We have grown steadily since 1983, as has the community we serve. We operate from two stations with two standard Class A engines, two 4-wheel drive Class A engines, a 102 foot aerial platform truck, and various other specialized fire apparatus. We respond to over 350 fire calls annually from the county line to the North beach access. We do all of this with 48 dedicated volunteers and frequent assistance from county EMS personnel.

This year, the Duck Jazz Festival proudly reaches its 16th anniversary, and with it, we unveil our artistic vision:“Duck Grooves: The Sound of Jazz,” is an electrifying celebration of jazz’s dynamic, ever-evolving nature, set against the stunning backdrop of the Currituck Sound. It’s a fusion of past, present, and future, where the timeless traditions of jazz intersect with the vibrancy of new, innovative sounds. Just as the sound of jazz flows and adapts, so too does the landscape of Duck where the rhythm of the music harmonizes with the natural beauty of the water and the surrounding environment.
Bodie Island tends to cause a lot of confusion, for both the pronunciation of its name as well as its precise location. This small strip of the Outer Banks doesn't get a lot of attention, and most North Carolina visitors simply pass through the area on their way to or from the Hatteras and Ocracoke Island resort towns, or make a quick stop for an up-close-and-personal view of the Bodie Island Lighthouse.
Build a beautiful resort village on a favorite Hatteras Island location, and they will come. The Cottages at the Cape are the closest vacation rentals to the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse in Buxton. They share a long border with the national park and are steps from the beachfront. Bring the bikes because Buxton's unique shops, restaurants, and lighthouse are all very close. Forget the 4WD vehicle - those in the know have discovered that the three jetties to the east of the cottages produce some of the best fishing, surfing, and swimming on this island. Walking to the south will take you to open beaches, the famed Cape Point, and, if luck is on your side during the summer, a few sea turtle nests (be careful to stay outside the barriers). The interior has been professionally decorated with comfortable and fun beach décor, and you'll have access to an outdoor shower and a patio. An escape to the cape never looked so good as at Cottages at the Cape. SHARED AMENITIESPoolOutdoor showerTHINGS TO KNOWGuests have access to the Club Hatteras Pool Facility.
